History
The History of BDNKY, Inc.
September of 2002: An HR Director with ADP (in Louisville) began recruiting representatives from several local companies, known for their commitment to employee diversity, to brainstorm about the challenges and successes related to enhancing an appreciation for diversity in the workplace.
November 19, 2002: A "Louisville Business Community Diversity Networking Meeting" was held and a plan was developed for the Greater Louisville Diversity Roundtable "kick off" meeting.
September 18, 2003: The Greater Louisville Diversity Roundtable "kick off" meeting was hosted by ADP. Companies represented included: ADP, Lexmark, LG&E, Louisville Water Company, Toyota, and U of L. The roundtable was a resounding success, and as a result, the Business Diversity Network of Kentucky (BDNKY) was born.
2006: The BDNKY was incorporated (BDNKY, Inc.), and further established as an information resource to organizations throughout Kentucky on topics related to diversity and inclusion.
Today: The BDNKY, Inc. hosts educational forums and provides information to support diversity and inclusion initiatives in an ever-changing business climate.
